ChouChou — a taste of Paris in San Francisco…

Meet Chef Owner, H. Michaels and his partner, Sous Chef, M. Habil

Located in San Francisco, ChouChou, an authentic French Restaurant offers a Provencal feel with bright, colorful dining room — a casual yet chic bistro atmosphere.
Sit down and enjoy yourself as our attractive staff work the dimly lit room, maneuvering tables, pushing aside dangling cylindrical lamps, and ensuring that well-heeled locals are having a grand old time.

Though separated from Provence by the continental US and Atlantic Ocean, ChouChou strives to bring the French region’s spirit to Forest Hill. The casually elegant bistro showcases rustic Old World cooking, drizzling cuts of grass-fed filet mignon with green peppercorn sauce and truffle mashed potatoes, and accompanying duck leg confit with mushroom duxelles. Along with buttery, herb-infused escargot and other classic entrées, ChouChou maintains a wine list that consists mainly of French producers, but also includes bottles from the United States, and other parts of the world.

The restaurant is super cozy — perfect for a
first date or for a great birthday dinner.
We highly recommend brunch at Chou Chou, especailly for their homemade chocolate croissants.
The main courses were even better, and the chocolate pear tart that finished things off was truly swoon worthy.
